Executive Coaching

Not just for the CEO - for anyone who has trouble executing

Executive (adjective) - Designed or fitted for execution, or carrying into effect.

For the longest time, I heard about Executive Coaching and thought it was exclusively for those who held a "Chief Executive Officer" position- or at least for those working towards that role. After finding my own coach (an "Executive Coach") it is clear to me that we are talking about the verb to "execute" or "carry into effect." So this is for anyone needing help carrying anything into effect:

any of these sound like you? Let's connect! I'd love to hear about what you are working on and come up with a coaching plan for you.

Opportunities

This is a short list, but not all of the ways I have helped individuals in the past.

Everyone will be unemployed at some point in their life- be is straight out of college, the result of a 'downsizing' at a company, or simply looking for new opportunities. Unemployment and the job search is not easy and knowing what to do and how to move forward can be a challenge. I have worked with multiple individuals in creating direction, structure, and achievable goals to set them in motion. I have been through the process multiple times (both for unemployment and for new opportunities) and find that a process or a system really helps structure my efforts.
(I do offer sliding scale pricing for those between jobs or unemployed, others have done the same for me and I want to pay it forward)

Career Coaching

We are often forced to 'pick a career' (or at least a path) at far too young an age- the careers we are aware of are often limited to the "20 most popular" careers, or the careers that our parents or friend's parents held. Be it in grade school, college, or even mid-life - finding the right fit for where you spend a majority of your week's effort can make a huge difference. I have developed a process to help identify a good fit career and open up a world of opportunities that I would love to help you work through. This process also gives you a leg up in the Job Search (see above) and networking steps necessary to successfully execute a career move.

Project Execution

Got a great idea, but having trouble on the execution? Been working (or more likely thinking) on this idea for a while and frustrated that it is not a reality? Some folks have the ability, structure, and experience to be the "builder" and the "coordinator" for the same project- but (like me) most of us don't. I have worked with folks to help get 'un-stuck' on their personal and professional projects- everyone just a little different. Sometimes it is a matter of refining the idea to clear away the cruft, sometimes setting up an operating structure to make time to build, and sometimes offloading the administrative work to clear a path to do what they do best.
(If your team needs help getting 'un-stuck,' take a look at my consulting offerings as well)

Leadership Growth

Organization often use promotions as a means to reward their top performers; the best Engineers become Leads, the best Sales Professionals become Trainers, the best Accountants become Managers- but not all organizations take the time or effort to train folks into Leadership roles. The skills needed to become the best Developer are not necessarily the skills needed to be the best Manager. If you have been promoted (or looking for that promotion) without getting that training and growth that you feel you need- I have trained up and coaches multiple folks to become better leaders (both in formal leadership positions and as de-facto leaders for their teams).

Career Growth

We often rely on our managers to provide us with career direction (after all - a company not investing int heir employees are majorly missing out) but not all of us have managers or organizations who place value in this space- and many don't have managers in the traditional sense (I'm talking to you, contractors). I have worked with multiple folks in setting up and executing Career Growth plans for themselves. The specifics vary from person to person, but this usually includes career or life visioning, long term planning, and short term execution.
